Taylor AutoMall, located in beautiful Kingston, Ontario has an immediate opening for an Office Manager. Qualified candidates will have a working knowledge of Quorum, as well as a full understanding of the daily facets of the dealership. Three to five years of previous automotive experience is a must!!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of Dealership Financial Statements and supplemental reports
  • Managing and supervising Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Accounting controls
  • Performing month-end and year-end accounting processes to ensure the integrity of financial results
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and government regulations relating to taxation, audits, filings, and licensing
  • Initiating and implementing management controls in loss prevention and protection of assets, including cash, parts, vehicles, equipment, supplies etc.
  • Engaging with Senior Management on financial analysis, annual forecasting, and planning activities
  • Proactively identifying opportunities, recommending and formulating process and policy improvements and implement changes where required
  • Providing support services in office administration
  • Performing bank and vehicle floorplan monthly reconciliations
  • Posting New and Pre-Owned vehicle sales, EFT’s and demand cheques
  • Responsible for weekly review and cleaning of schedules
  • Performing other tasks as required by the Controller
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers
  • Assists in Maintaining Employee Handbook
  • Maintains Employee files for Payroll and DMS system
  • Prepares payroll on a timely basis, posts payroll, and maintains payroll records
  • Prepares Payroll Remittances, HST, PST, WSIB & EHT returns in a timely, accurate manner. Reconciles annual T4 return
  • Issues Record of Employment
  • Administers Employee Group Insurance Plan including monthly benefit payment
  • Administers GM Global Connect
  • Stays abreast of current factory incentives and codes deliveries and reports to Bars
  • Supervise Reception desk and create a reception work schedule to ensure coverage

Applicants must possess the following:

  • Accounting Degree
  • Possess a Clean driver’s abstract, valid driver’s license, and successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Professional Appearance
  • Must be Reliable and possess a Positive Attitude
  • Excellent Communication Skills both written and verbal
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Organized and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Experience in a supervisory role overseeing financial accounting
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, take initiative
  • Extensive understanding of accounting principles
  • General Motors experience an asset
