Jay Tay’s December Update!

Hi Folks! Jason Taylor here with your final monthly video newsletter for 2023. December is upon us and now is the time to summarize what is going on at Taylor AutoMall as we close out the year.
First off, I’m very excited to introduce to you our new Service and Parts Director, Chris Sherry. Over the last few months, we have faced some challenges and headwinds in our service and parts departments. Specifically, we have been dealing with a technician shortage as well as an 8-week gap in the leadership of our Certified Service Department. Admittedly, during this time, and even before with the management we had in place, we sometimes did not live up to our own expectations of providing the level of customer service we are used to. But we now have the right person for the job, and we are working every day to improve our processes so that your service experience is seamless, predictable, and enjoyable. I encourage you to contact me or Chris directly should you have any questions about the past or future servicing of your vehicle.

A hugely important initiative that is underway in town is the Jerome Taylor/Whig-Standard ‘Christmas Hampers of Hope’ Fund in support of the Salvation Army providing Hampers full of food to upwards of 3300 households. This charitable endeavour was named in honour of my Dad after he passed away in 2006. Jerome was a huge supporter of the Salvation Army and all that they did for those in need. This year’s goal is to raise $198 000 and all of it will be used to brighten and encourage the lives of others who find this time of year so difficult. A tax receipt will be issued for any donation over $10. If you have a chance and want to donate to a cause that will directly impact the lives of others, please consider the Jerome Taylor ‘Christmas Hampers of Hope’ fund. You can drop off, mail, or call The Salvation Army on Patrick St. to make your donation today.

2023 represented our 60^th year in business in Kingston. To put that in perspective, when my Dad started in 1963, Lester B Pearson was our Prime Minister and JFK was the President of the United States. Hard to believe when you think of it like that. To be in such a competitive industry, and to survive and thrive for so long, is a true testament to all the wonderful employees we have had over the years and the thousands upon thousands of loyal customers. We even gave away a brand-new Equinox in October to celebrate this milestone and we are so happy for Jocelyn and her family that she won. So, to all of you, I simply say thank you from the bottom of my heart. At Taylor AutoMall, we continue to be excited about looking after all your automotive needs in 2024 and beyond.
